Satisfaction...its satisfying saying satisfaction isnt it...

I have come to the point where I see that you cannot be truely satisfied with anything...NOTHING!!!

You see at church last night we had our pastor talk on the big question..

"why is it that the more we have, the more we want??"

Its true isnt it?? I dont think that there is one person in this world that is completely satisfied and does not want one more thing...people say it all the time really...

if I could just have that then...
if I was more this then...
if I could just go...

Why are we not satisfied?
is it because God places within us a desire for him and only him to feel satisfaction?
I believe yes and no...Even us as christians still go after other things to try and complete us, and we know God intimately! so why arent we still being satisfied. I feel this is a disease that cannot be cured until we see Jesus face to face.

Tim our pastor spoke about this lie of finding satisfaction in created things instead of the creator and that it can be found in two places-
outside us and within us. You see we can easily turn away from something that is outside of us but if its within us we become addicted to it and cant escape it!
So you see we all live this lie of trying to be fulfilled with created things but the truth is that only Jesus can satisfy!

I feel like this is a lost case...God I only want to be satisfied in you and only want to look to you for it, but I just dont...there is always something else...

So I guess my prayer to you God is that I would become less so you become more. That I would give you more in order to not look for other things to satisfy.

Let us become aware of the lies so we can stand strong in the truth!
