Sitting here,
papers all around me, really needing to do my uni assessment,
However God's masterpiece outside is pulling me away...
If you could see what I see, you would be in awe of God right now. His so beautiful in every way, how can even imagine what heaven would be like when his presence and his beauty on earth astounds me already?
For some reason God has given me a gift of reminding me every time it rains that something new and refreshing is coming...
And so I sit..
And ponder in his presence...
looking outside at the glorious sunset behind the heavy rain, lightning and the sound of the thunder at my doorstep.
God is magnificent, and he truly does wonderful things.
How I would give to see through God's eyes...
I sit here thinking about how much evil goes on behind this beauty I'm looking at and yet God still decides to bless us with his grace.
In church on Saturday night we studied Ephesians 6:10-24, talking about the armor of God which we should wear to be strong with the Lord's power so we are able to stand firm against the devil and all his tricks and strategies.
We look at it and its quite funny that the armor that we use to fight with is nothing like what we would think fighting something would be...
Truth, righteousness, peace, faith and salvation.
Also God's word (being said its an indispensable weapon)
and prayer too, praying at all times...
You know these seven things God gives us to use is all that's needed in life to stand firm when stuff goes wrong and when the devil tries to take you down.
Its pretty cool how God had designed for us an armor to win the fight.
I also learnt in church that the two things that the devil will throw at us that it says in the bible are accusations(e.g. "you cant do that", "God wont come through") and temptations! He already knows his lost the fight so instead of giving up, he wants to take as many down with him as he can!
So if we become aware that we are God's children and he has given us the weapons to stand, then lets stand and not get shaken! The truth is there to be seen and we need to keep our eyes open.
So while I sit and look at his beauty and you may be too, be reminded that the heavenly realm is in a battle. And we as spiritual beings are joined together in that battle too! So wear your armor today..and continually pray as it is powerful!
