Although we may suffer, struggle, lose loved ones, and hurt; We can look forward to the prize that is awaiting us- eternal life with Jesus our lord, and our Father, the author and perfecter of our faith.

This life is but a moment, so make it worth it.
Jesus lived and died in a moment. But he ROSE and lived eternally.

LETS GET PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT REALLY MATTERS
- Jesus matters
- Salvation matters
- Eternity matters

...
...
...

Please don't settle for anything less than living to glorify God,
because your worth more than the struggles your facing today...and so is Jesus

We choose Him, because he first chose us (eph 1:4)...blessed are those who persevere (James 1:12)
I sat down and began to write:

Dear friend,

When your heart is torn and broken from this life, from the sin that so easily corrupted your purity, shattered your dreams and stole your hope.

From Satan, who came to you like a thief in the night and proclaimed worthlessness over you, taking all that you let him; after all, you were unaware of it.

When he crept into your heart, he chained and bound you up to live in slave to sin. And your fete as he thought was set; doomed for eternity of pain and agony with him.

I tell you the truth, what friend would I be if I had the knowledge that could unlock your chains and set you free from the sin that binds you up, and not tell you?

What friend would I be if I knew the one who has stolen the key to those chains, yet didn’t ask them to set you free as well?

The truth is, I wouldn’t be a friend at all.

So, do you want to know the real truth?

I will tell you, I need to tell you because the one with the keys has given me the special task of telling it to you so you can choose to be set free as well.

The thing is, this man was just like you, he became bound with sin. But not any kind of sin for he himself walked sinless, but every sin that was ever and will ever be done on this earth was laid upon him. He carried it to his death for this reason; to steal the keys and set you free forever.

And it doesn’t end there. He gives new life to the ones he sets free, making them pure and holy.

But the most bestest thing that I have saved til last that I need to tell you is this; you are made worthy to have relationship with the one who created you. Yes, not because of what you’ve done, but what he did.

This man with the keys is Jesus.

Whose last breath on the cross that he died on, bearing all the sin and weight of the world on his shoulders was “IT IS FINISHED”.

So when your heart is broken and torn, left to be trampled on by Satan, Jesus says

IT IS FINISHED.

When you finally realise that this world has nothing to offer and leaves you unsatisfied and empty, Jesus says

IT IS FINISHED.

So friend, I tell you the truth, what friend would I be if I didn’t tell you the reason why I am set free? The reason why I now have a different future; eternity with our creator and King?

The reason, the answer and the truth is Jesus. He has your keys to salvation, to freedom.

He loves you

Open your heart and let Him in, because once he unlocks your chains, you are free forever, and he will never leave you, nor forsake you.

Love always, your friend.

- “I therefore... urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness...” Ephesians 4:1-2

As much as I’m speaking to myself, can we as Christians stand firm in God and the truth. Can we not hide our light, but share the good news that has set us free?

God I pray that we would not grow weary of our calling. That we would be ignited with your fire to see your own children that are living in death set free by your power.

And above all, I praise you, for it is finished.

You have won the battle Jesus.

Thankyou.
Since we have been given new life in Christ, we are no longer slaves to sin (Rom 6). We do however struggle constantly to fight it. Why cant we change ourselves? why dont our plans, goals and rules of dying to self and sin not work?

Its because we are trying to do the change ourselves, when God says havent you been saved by Grace? and not works. When we try and change ourselves, we bring in our own works, which means that we get the glory rather than God.

- How can 'I' change to make myself more like Christ?
- How can 'I' change to make God happy with me?
- How can 'I' change to become a better christian, that others will see?

The problem with these questions is our motives are all wrong.
Isnt it only God who can change and transform us- by His grace and power.

God is in the business of changing us, from the inside out.
Its not by the things we try and do on the outside; it will never work as change begins in the heart.
We should be so thankful that God has given us a new life, and with that comes a new heart.

I pray that next time your fighting against sin and unholy habits and attitudes, that you would let the spirit change and transform you; for His the only one who can.

I love the analogy God gives us in his word about how we are like a fruit tree, Jesus is the Vine, and God the father is the pruner. As you grow in Christ (the vine), God the father will prune back all the branches that are dead and getting in the way of you producing good fruit. (Jn15)

It is only in Him, through Him and for Him that we firstly should live our lives, but secondly where change occurs.

"God is working in you, giving you the desire and power to do what pleases Him"

-Phil 2:13

If you can, get your hands on the book by Tim Chester called 'You can change'. Powerful truth in it.

God is good. Be blessed.

Jesus; the giver of life

What can I do? What can I say? then to offer my own life for the cause of your name

January 2011

What a year already. All I can say is that God is truly good and righteous.
Ive spent my first 8 days of the year on missions called Summerfest at my church leading in 11:50 (yrs10-12) and can I say that God has done (and still is doing) a work in many peoples hearts.

One important thing to understand is that we should fear God and not man. It is the hardest thing to do, to not fear man. Especially when it comes to sharing the gospel with them. Do I dare say that we may even fear man more than God?
Thinking of this breaks my heart, and kind of makes me angry at myself for putting  created humans above God the creator.
Imagine if we could only fear God; we would evangelise everywhere, not caring what others think...we would constantly pray and thank God for His grace and mercies...we would trust Him with everything

My prayer this year is to fear God more and less of man, to be bold and share the gospel with people more, becoming an even better evangelist...because that is our calling- so we better get good at it dont you think??
Writing down peoples responses and finding ways to share it effectively has helped me greatly...

Christians, be prepared to share the gospel where ever you go...its our purpose.
Pray for those who dont yet know the Lord.
Know the word of God...God speaks to us through it

"Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything you do"
proverbs 4:23

I pray that 2011 will be a year of God anointed, God appointed and planned opportunities to share the good news; that which we live our lives for; Jesus' death and ressurection= right relationship with God the father.

Keep it real, and may God bless you this year for greatness; for His glory

Love Tash
I thought I'd share something special with you...

Meet my new Compassion child Niyonsenga Leonille. Even though I probably can't say her name, she was one of the urgent children who have been waiting for months to be sponsored. God put her on my heart and now I have my first child. I have already nicknamed her (for my sake) Niy.

God cares so much for the needy and desolate that part of our mission is to do something about it; by being Jesus' hands and feet in this world. I have recently been stirred about missions and sharing the gospel. Can I say how overwhelming it is; there are sooooo many people around the world that are in desperate need of salvation, both spiritually and physically, and I am only one person with limited income.

When I think about this I find myself always looking back to myself and what I can/can't do, when actually I shouldn't be looking to myself at all. I should be looking to God for the answers, for the resources and gifts he has entrusted me with to accomplish the plans he has set out for me.

So this is me...
Seeking God first and foremost; to make a difference one step at a time, for His glory. Blessed to be a blessing.

Step one of the mission; a sponsored child called Niy from Rwanda who now has a hope and a future in Christ. What I wouldn't give to see her face when she hears the news that God has chosen a sponsor for her, its kind of special.

Here are some verses that I love at the moment and hope they will encourage you to keep powering on in Christ Jesus...using what God has put in your hands.

"For we speak as messengers who have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people" 1Thess 2:4

"For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our city in heaven, which is yet to come" Heb 13:14

"With Jesus' help, let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of his name. Don't forget to do good and share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God" Heb 13:15

One of the first things we ask people without a doubt one way or another is "how are you going?". On the other hand, I don't believe we ask this question enough;
"How is your relationship with God?".
Me anyways, and I also don't receive the question much either.
Maybe because its such a personal question. It should be easy to answer but sometimes when our relationship with God is actually struggling it becomes difficult and something we don't always want to share.

Ive been challenged lately about where God is in my life and what worldly idols I've placed before him. I'll humbly admit that I am not at all perfect and struggle daily to centre God in my life. It crushes me to think that the very least that I could do, for the very most that God did is still a hard sacrifice.

We're all running a different race, however with the same goal. And what might be ones weakness is another persons strength.

So I encourage you to take up this little goal of mine; to ask people how their relationship with God is more often. Maybe you even need to ask yourself too. Encourage, strengthen, learn, grow, pray and love with each other because God should be our centre, even in relationships.

Lets discover God's precious riches in Christ Jesus together.

Tash.
